SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. Remove the brake pads as described above.

2. Remove the caliper mounting bolts from the steering knuckle (Fig. 14.21). Raise the caliper and tie it to the front strut with soft wire. The caliper should not hang on the brake hose. The brake hose should not be stretched or twisted. If necessary, remove the brake hose from the shock absorber strut bracket.
3. Remove the brake disc mounting bracket. Replace the rusty bracket with a new one.
4. Mark the position of the brake disc on the wheel hub.
5. Using a rubber hammer, remove the brake disc from the wheel hub.
6. Using a wire brush, thoroughly clean the mating surfaces on the wheel hub and brake disc.
7. Install the brake disc onto the wheel hub, aligning the marks made before removal.
8. Install the mounting bracket onto the wheel mounting bolt.
9. Install the brake caliper on the steering knuckle and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 60 N·m.
