Removing the wheel brake cylinder

            0

When you remove the wheel brake cylinder, as a rule, brake fluid always flows out of the hydraulic brake system. Fluid leakage can be prevented by loosening the bleeder screw of the relevant brake cylinder a few turns before starting work and fitting a transparent bleed hose onto it. Lower the other free end of the hose into a clean container and press the brake pedal several times until it stops. As soon as the hose is filled with brake fluid, secure the brake pedal in the depressed position (wood block or brick). This closes the return ports in the brake master cylinder and stops the brake fluid from escaping.

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Remove the brake drums and brake shoes.

2. Turn away the brake pipeline on a protective casing of a back brake. Close the hole with a suitable plug to prevent dirt from getting in and brake fluid escaping.

3. Turn out bolts of fastening of the wheel brake cylinder and remove the cylinder.

4. Installing a new brake cylinder is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

5. Remove air from a hydrodrive of brake system.
