Front parking brake cable




SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it to stands. Place blocks or stones under the front wheels. Remove rear wheels.

2. Remove the protective cover from the parking brake lever and lift up the lever.

3. Turn away a nut and remove a cable of a lay brake from the lever.

4. Release the exhaust system from the rear rubber mounts (pic. 14.29).

5. Jack support system of release of the fulfilled gases.

6. Turn away five nuts of fastening of an average part of a thermofilter and remove it.

7. Remove the front parking brake cable from the compensator.


8. Installing the front parking brake cable is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

9. Adjust the parking brake.

Rear parking brake cable


1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and secure it to stands. Place blocks or stones under the front wheels. Remove rear wheels.

2. Remove the protective cover from the parking brake lever and lift up the lever.

3. Turn away a nut and remove a cable of a lay brake from the lever.

4. Release the exhaust system from the rear rubber mounts (see fig. 14.29).

5. Jack support system of release of the fulfilled gases.

6. Turn away five nuts of fastening of an average part of a heat-shielding screen and remove it.

7. Remove the compensator from the front and left rear parking brake cables.

8. Remove the parking brake cables from supports 1 (pic. 14.30) in the lower part of the bottom of the body, unscrew the clamp fastening bolts 2 and remove the parking brake cables from the clamps 3.

9. Further operations are similar to the removal of the brake drums.

10. Installing the rear parking brake cables is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
