SEQUENCE OF WORKS
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor connector from the plug and unscrew the plug.
3. Use a syringe or a syringe to pump out the brake fluid from the reservoir.
4. Attach a bleed hose to the front left bleed nipple and drain the brake fluid into a suitable container.
5. Unscrew the bleed nipple.
6. Press the brake pedal until all the brake fluid is removed from the reservoir.
7. Tighten the bleed screw securely.
Fiesta vehicles with manual transmission: Disconnect the hose going to the clutch cylinder.
Fiesta vehicles with ABS: Remove the brake pipes connecting the hydraulic unit and the master cylinder.
Fiesta vehicles without ABS: Disconnect the brake pipes from the master cylinder.
8. Unscrew the brake pipes.
9. Remove the pressure regulator.
10. Loosen the two bolts and remove the brake master cylinder.
Installation
Before installing the brake master cylinder, make sure a new vacuum gasket is installed and the mating surface on the brake booster side is completely clean.
The installation of the master brake cylinder is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
After completing the work, remove air from the hydraulic drive of the brake system.
