Removing the brake master cylinder

Before removing the master brake cylinder, make sure that there is no vacuum in the vacuum brake booster. To do this, remove the vacuum hose from the vacuum brake booster or repeatedly press the brake pedal with the engine off.



SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.

2. Disconnect a contact socket of the gauge of level of a brake liquid from a stopper and turn away a stopper.

3. Use a syringe or syringe to pump out the brake fluid from the reservoir.

4. Attach the bleed hose to the front left bleeder port and drain the brake fluid into a suitable container.

5. Turn away the union of prorolling.

6. Press the brake pedal until the brake fluid is completely removed from the reservoir.

7. Tighten the bleeder screw securely.

Fiesta vehicles with manual transmission: Disconnect the hose going to the clutch cylinder.

Fiesta vehicles with ABS: Remove the brake pipes connecting the hydraulic unit and the master cylinder.

Fiesta vehicles without ABS: Disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder.

8. Turn away brake pipelines.


9. Remove the pressure regulator.

10. Turn away two bolts and remove the main brake cylinder.

Installation

Before installing the master cylinder, make sure that a new vacuum gasket is installed and that the mating surface on the side of the brake booster is absolutely clean.

Installation of the main brake cylinder is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Upon completion of work, remove air from the hydraulic drive of the brake system.
