General information about the brake system

            0

The brake system of the car is used to reduce the speed of movement and its quick stop, as well as to keep it in place when parking.

Vehicles must be equipped with two independent braking systems (working and parking). This is necessary so that in the event of a failure of the service brake system, the vehicle can be braked by another system. The car is equipped with a working brake system with diagonal separation of circuits, which significantly increases the safety of the Fiesta. If one of the circuits fails, the second circuit is used to stop the car with sufficient efficiency. However, in this case, it is necessary to press the brake pedal harder, and the braking distance of the car increases.

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. The brake fluid reservoir is installed on the master brake cylinder on the left rear in the engine compartment. The brake fluid level should be checked regularly.

2. When the brake pads wear out during the operation of the car, the brake fluid level approaches the lower mark. This is normal, because with worn brake pads, disc brake pistons protruding from the cylinders leave behind a larger volume in the cylinders, which is filled with brake fluid.
