The vehicle uses a hydraulically driven service brake system with diagonally split circuits, which significantly increases the safety of driving the vehicle. One drive circuit ensures the operation of the brake mechanisms of the right front and left rear wheels, the other - the left front and right rear. If one of the circuits fails, the second circuit is used as a backup brake system, ensuring the vehicle stops with sufficient efficiency. The front wheel brakes are disc brakes, and the rear ones are drum brakes.
After installing new brake pads, they must be ground in, i.e., do not apply maximum braking for 200 km of the vehicle's mileage.
Brake fluid – Ford SAM-6C-9103 A or Ford SAM-6C-9103 C. The specified brake fluids can be mixed.
