Removal of air from the brake system

            0

After each repair during which the brake circuit is opened, the air must be bled from the brake system. In general, it is necessary to bleed the hydraulic system if you have to press the brake pedal several times to get the desired braking effect, or if the pedal feels "elasticity".

Remove air from the system first from one circuit, then from another, starting with the wheel cylinders of the rear brakes.

1. Remove the cap from the head of the bleed valve.

2. Put a transparent hose on the fitting head to drain the fluid, and lower its free end into a transparent vessel partially filled with brake fluid. The vessel must be located at a height of 300 mm above the level of the air vent.

3. Press the brake pedal sharply several times and, keeping it depressed, unscrew the bleeder screw half a turn. Continuing to press the pedal, expel the fluid in the system, along with air, through the hose into the vessel. After the pedal has reached the front end position and fluid has stopped flowing through the hose, screw in the bleed screw until it stops. Repeat these steps until no more air bubbles escape through the hose.

4. Install the cap on the bleed valve.

Attention! When removing air, monitor the presence of liquid in the tank, not allowing its bottom to be exposed, as this will again allow air to enter the system.
