Removal
1. Loosen the wheel mounting bolts, raise the vehicle, unscrew the bolts and remove the wheels.
2. Unscrew the brake hose and close its hole with a plug.
3. If there is a brake pad wear indicator, disconnect the connector from the caliper.
4. Unscrew the two bolts (indicated by arrows) securing the caliper and remove it.
5. Unscrew the bolt (indicated by the arrow) securing the brake disc and remove the disc from the hub.
6. If you only need to remove the brake disc, do not unscrew the brake hose, and hang the removed caliper with a wire on the suspension strut.
Disassembly
1. Remove the piston dust cap and, by supplying air under pressure through the brake fluid supply hole, push out the piston.
2. Remove the piston seal ring from the groove in the cylinder.
3. Wash all parts with clean brake fluid. Do not use other fluids under any circumstances.
4. When reassembling, insert a new sealing ring into the cylinder, dip the piston into the brake fluid and, being careful, insert the piston into the cylinder.
5. Place the dust cap between the piston and the cylinder and press the piston into the cylinder until it stops.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. If the brake hose was removed, be sure to remove air from the brake system.
