Replacing brake fluid (Focus Turnier 1)

            0

Brake fluid should be replaced every two years. Workshops do this with a special filling device. But you can do it yourself - the work is done in the same way as when bleeding the system. The entire system requires about 1.5 liters of brake fluid (pay attention to the specification).

Stages of work

Suck the brake fluid out of the expansion tank using a pipette or a clean injection syringe.

The steps are otherwise the same as those described in the section on bleeding the brake system. The old brake fluid changes its appearance: it seems milkier. Wait until clean "new" fluid comes out of each brake cylinder.
