Replacing brake fluid (Mondeo 2)

Brake fluid should be changed regularly. This work is best done at a specialized service station. Replace the brake fluid as follows:

- pump out, for example with a syringe or vacuum cleaner (Fig. 250), the brake fluid from the reservoir to a level of 1 cm;

- fill with fresh brake fluid (DOT 4);

- open the bleeder holes in each wheel brake one by one and slowly bleed the brake fluid using the brake pedal;

- be sure to monitor the fluid level in the tank and top it up in a timely manner;

- start working with the brake on the right rear wheel (as the furthest one).
