Pay attention to the following:
- Use only brake fluid recommended by Ford and stored in sealed containers
- during pumping, the compensation tank must be constantly filled;
- the hose used for pumping must be without holes so that air cannot pass through it into the system.
Bleeding the brake system is performed in the following order (both brake circuits can be bled independently):
- clean the sealing cap of the expansion tank (double tank for two brake circuits) and remove it, fill the reservoir with brake fluid up to the mark «Max»;

- install the air bleed hose on the right front wheel bleeder, after removing the rubber cap from the plug (pic. 268), and lower the free end of the hose into a glass container filled with some clean brake fluid;
- open the bleeder valve one full turn;
- the assistant presses the brake pedal and holds it in this state;
- screw the bleeder plug and release the brake pedal;
- Repeat this process until brake fluid flows out of the hose without air bubbles;
- similarly bleed the left rear brake caliper or wheel brake cylinder;
- Install the air bleed hose on the left front brake vent screw and open the screw plug one full turn;
- press the brake pedal to the stop and hold it in this position;
- tighten the screw plug of the ventilation hole as soon as air bubbles no longer appear in the container;
- install the hose for air pumping on the screw plug of the vent hole of the right rear wheel;
- also lower the free end of the hose into a glass container and unscrew the screw plug one full turn;
- press the brake pedal all the way down and tighten the screw plug as soon as the brake fluid flows into the container without air bubbles;
- fill the liquid into the tank up to the mark «Max»;
- install the tank and connect both plug connectors.
