Please note the following:
- Use only Ford recommended brake fluid, which should be stored in sealed containers;
- during bleeding the expansion tank must be constantly filled;
- the hose used for bleeding must be without holes so that air does not pass through it into the system.
Bleeding the brake system is performed in the following order (both brake circuits can be bled independently of each other):
- clean the sealing cap of the expansion tank (double tank for two brake circuits) and remove it, fill the tank with brake fluid up to the "Max" mark;

- install the air bleed hose on the bleed nipple of the ventilation hole of the right front wheel, having first removed the rubber cap from the plug (Fig. 268), and lower the free end of the hose into a glass container into which a little clean brake fluid has been poured;
- open the bleed nipple one full turn;
- the assistant presses the brake pedal and holds it in this position;
- tighten the bleeder screw and release the brake pedal;
- repeat this process until brake fluid flows out of the hose without air bubbles;
- similarly bleed the left rear brake caliper or wheel brake cylinder;
- install the air bleed hose onto the threaded plug of the left front brake vent and open the threaded plug one full turn;
- press the brake pedal all the way down and hold it in this position;
- tighten the screw plug of the vent hole as soon as air bubbles stop appearing in the container;
- install the air bleed hose onto the threaded plug of the ventilation hole of the right rear wheel;
- also lower the free end of the hose into a glass container and unscrew the threaded plug one full turn;
- press the brake pedal all the way down and tighten the screw plug as soon as brake fluid without air bubbles starts to flow into the container;
- fill the tank with liquid up to the "Max" mark;
- install the tank and connect both plug connectors.
