Your Mondeo has three control lights on the instrument panel related to the brake system, which usually remain dark while driving. If the opposite has happened - a system failure has occurred - in the most harmless case, this indicates that you forgot to release the parking brake. If not, then first check the brake fluid level in the expansion tank, it is located under the engine hood on the main brake cylinder on the left in the direction of travel. If the lights flash from time to time while driving, you can conclude that there is no brake fluid and one brake circuit is already "on strike". The second circuit, as a rule, is still capable of functioning, so you will have enough time to get to the nearest workshop when driving slowly. Our advice: do not trust such an important unit from a safety point of view as a brake to any "automation" - it is better to look after it yourself from time to time.
