- First unscrew the union nut of the brake pipe, then release the other side of the hose. Make sure that the pipeline is not twisted.
- Most brake hoses are protected from slipping by a hose holder (metal brace). When installing, do not forget about it.
- When installing, tighten the outer threaded side first, then the union nut.
- Never mount the hose in a twisted condition. The correct fit can be recognized by colored stripes running along the hose, rubber sprues or rubber profiles.
- After installation, bleed the brake system as described above.
- Be sure to check that the new hose has the proper free play when the spring is moved. If not, move the remote holder. Check the freedom of movement again after a long trip.
If the brake pipes 2 and brake hoses 4 are connected to a metal holder 3, then the elastic hose holder 1 is not necessary. To disconnect such a connection, a wrench for brake hoses 5 is used, which completely encircles the pipe nut. |
