Notes on the operation of the ignition system

The transistorized ignition system has more energy in the high voltage circuit than the classic ignition system.

During engine operation, do not touch the elements of the transistorized ignition system, especially high voltage wires.

Before all operations related to the replacement of elements of the ignition system, the battery should be disconnected from the electrical equipment of the vehicle.

Do not connect a capacitor to terminal 1 of the ignition coil.

Terminal cannot be connected (+) battery to terminal 1 of the ignition coil, as this could damage the switch.

When checking the compression pressure in the engine cylinders, disconnect the switch or connect terminal 4 of the ignition coil to the vehicle ground.
