Pistons replacement

            0

Attention! Always replace the 4-piston set with the pins. If it is necessary to grind one cylinder, grind everything and replace all pistons together with the fingers. The same diameter also means that they have the same mass, which in turn is a condition for proper engine balancing.

1. Squeeze out the piston pins on the press.

2. Lay the connecting rods on the plate and check if they are deformed.

3. Place special tool 21.014 in a vice and pull out its guide pin as far as it will go.

4. Install the piston in the same direction with the sign "Front", as well as the connecting rod with an oil sprayer.

5. Position the piston in the tool so that the arrow on the bottom of the piston points forward.

6. Insert the guide pin into the piston bore as far as it will go.

7. Press the piston pin into the hole in the foot on the opposite side of the piston so that its head is aligned with the inner edge of the foot.

8. Install the appropriate spacer for the engine type in the tool.

9. Mark the connecting rod head with a pen "thermochrome" (Faber-Castell 2815) and heat it until the color of the sign changes to match the color of the pen. This means that the connecting rod head has heated up to the temperature necessary to press the pin into the head sleeve (260°–300°С).

10. Move the connecting rod quickly and place it inside the piston on the fitting shank. Insert piston pin as far as it will go.

11. Wait until the connecting rod has cooled down and check that the piston is connected to the connecting rod correctly.
