Valve timing
Attention! The valve timing is given with a working valve clearance (0.20 mm for intake valve and 0.25 mm for exhaust valve).

Toothed belt
Tension check
New test method - can be used for all engines.
Attention! The engine must be running for at least 1/2 hour before checking.
1. To turn (in the direction of working rotation, holding the pulley bolt) crankshaft two turns and set the piston of the 1st cylinder to TDC.
2. Rotate the crankshaft approx. 60°in the opposite direction.
3. Using special tool 21.113, measure the toothed belt tension between the camshaft and intermediate shaft pulleys, which should be 4-5 units of the tool scale.
