Models 1984
In March 1984, instead of the 1.6 dm3 ONS engine of the LCS type (1.6 NS ONS Economy) began to install a new, more economical engine type LSD (1.6 NS ONS Economy). In the new type of ONS engine, the rigidity of the cylinder block has been increased, and the cylinder diameter and piston stroke have been changed, due to which the displacement has increased by 4 cm3. The LSD type engine, equipped with the new two-chamber Weber carburetor and characterized by the same rated power as the LCS type engine, was installed in cars with a Berlin body (L, GL and Ghia) and combi (L and GL).
Models 1985
In September 1984, cars with a body of Berlin, equipped with a 1.8 dm3 REB engine, went on sale. This engine, equipped with a Pierburg twin-barrel carburetor, is characterized by a rated power of 66 kW 90 hp.) at 5100 rpm.
The 2.0 dm3 ONS engine features a twin-barrel Weber carburetor and a new type ESC II ignition control module (as in the ONS engine with a volume of 1.8 dm3). The power steering system has a new variable ratio steering gear.
In December 1984, the Ford C 3 automatic transmission was replaced by a new four-speed automatic transmission, type A 4 LD.
From the offer of vehicles with 1.6 dm3 ONS engines, the possibility of equipping an automatic transmission is excluded.
In January 1985, cars with a combi body went on sale (GL and Ghia), equipped with an engine ONS 1.8 dm3 (used since September 1984 in cars with a Berlin body).
In March 1985, the 1.8 dm3 ONS engine is installed in Berlin and combi cars in the L version.
Models 1996
A new version of the equipment has been introduced (Special) in vehicles with 1.6 dm engine3.
Excluded from the offer are combi cars in the GL version with a 1.6 dm3 engine, as well as combi cars equipped with an automatic transmission and a 1.8 dm3 engine.
In January 1986, a 2.0 dm3 engine with fuel injection was installed in the Berlin Ghia version.
