2. Remove any traces of oil or grease from the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt, washer, and from the joint surface of the pulley and washer.
3. Apply 3 drops of Frenetanch glue to the threads in the crankshaft bore.
4. Tighten the crankshaft pulley mounting bolt to the specified torque.
5. Install the engine cylinder head (see subsection 4.2.11.1.1).
6. Install the clutch (see subsection 5.2).
7. Install the fuel pump and adjust the injection timing (see subsection 4.2.9).
8. Install:
- cylinder head cover together with a new gasket (glue the gasket to the cover, tighten the nuts to a torque of 3 Nm);
- the high speed cold engine thermostat together with a new copper gasket and tighten it to 22.5 Nm;
- glow plugs, their electrical wire and current busbar; tighten the spark plugs to a torque of 50 Nm;
- fuel supply lines;
- generator with tensioner holder;
- oil filter holder with new gasket;
- oil supply line to the valve lever axis.
9. Attach the front exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold
10. Install the V-belt tensioners, auxiliary power steering pump, vacuum pump and radiator fan.
11. Put on and tighten the V-belts.

12. Measure the oil pump drive clearance.
