Gas distribution system





1 - timing chain cover, 2 - cover gasket, 3 - intermediate plate, 4 - plate gasket, 5 - camshaft sprocket, 6 - timing chain, 7 - chain tensioner sprocket, 8 - ball bearing, 9 - eccentric, 10 - sleeve, 11 - slider, 12 - valve lever axis, 13 - valve lever axis holder, 14 - valve lever, 15 - valve lever axis blocking holder, 16 - valve lever axis setting spring, 17 - flat washers, 18 - pusher, 19 - pusher rod, 20 - exhaust valve, 21 - intake valve, 22 - crackers for fastening the valve spring support plate, 23 - upper valve spring support plate, 24 - valve spring, 25 - lower valve spring support plate, 26 - stem seal valve




1. Install (side with setting mark (1) outside) chain sprocket together with the key on the crankshaft.


2. Install the fuel pump drive sprocket retainer flange with the oil feed line.

3. Install the timing chain tensioner.

4. Install the fuel pump drive sprocket and turn the crankshaft so that the piston in the 1st cylinder is at TDC.



5. Install the timing chain so that its red markings match those on the camshaft and fuel pump sprockets, and the white markings match those on the crankshaft sprocket.



6. Install the chain tensioner sprocket together with the eccentric and tighten the chain so as to obtain a gap of 0.5–1 mm between the tensioner jaw and its holder. Tighten the tensioner pulley.

7. Replace the O-ring on the timing chain cover and screw on the cover.
