Shoe conductor spring hook
The hook of the spring conductor of the block is indicated by the arrow.
Withdrawal
1. Loosen rear wheel nuts.
2. Raise and fix the rear of the car, remove the rear wheel.
3. Remove wheel bolts (if present) brake drum clamps after loosening their fastening by blows of a chisel (turn left).
4. Check if the handbrake is off.
5. Remove the brake drum from the wheel hub.
Installation
Installing the rear brake
1 - shoe return spring, 2 - shoe conductor spring fastening, 3 - automatic clearance adjustment latch
1. Check whether the brake drum is damaged or worn, and whether the working surface of the drum has depressions that can be felt by the fingers. If necessary, regrind the drum or replace it.
2. Clean the inside of the mechanism by blowing it with compressed air.
3. Install the brake drum on the wheel hub flange.
4. Install the rear wheel.
5. Lower the vehicle and tighten the wheel nuts to the correct torque.
