To avoid injury to personnel and/or damage to the injection and ignition systems, the following must be observed:
Do not touch or remove high voltage wires while the engine is running or while the starter is turning the engine shaft.
Wires for injection and ignition systems, as well as measuring instruments, must be connected and disconnected only when the ignition is switched off.
If it is necessary to turn the engine crankshaft with the starter without allowing fuel to be injected, for example when measuring compression, the fuel pump relay should be removed and the ignition coil connector should be disconnected.
Instructions for checking the injection system
Excess pressure in the fuel supply system drops by itself (without releasing the fuel line connections) only a few hours after the engine has stopped.
Before repair and adjustment work, as well as when troubleshooting, you should interrogate the memory device and check the vacuum connections for leaks and the absence of air leaks.
The terminal clamps must be replaced with clamps tightened with a screw.
For the electronic components to function properly, the supply voltage must be at least 11.5 volts.
If after troubleshooting, repairs and checking the operability of the units the engine starts and then stalls, the reason may be that the engine is blocked by the anti-theft system. In this case, you should interrogate the memory device and, if necessary, coordinate (adjust) the engine control unit (at the service station).
