Safety regulations for working with the injection system

            0

The fuel system is under pressure! Gasoline may splatter when opened, and spilled fuel may be collected with a rag. Wear protective goggles Before opening the system, put a thick cloth around the connections to avoid fuel splashing. Then, gently release the fastener to release the pressure.

To avoid personal injury and/or damage to the injection and ignition systems, the following must be done:

Do not touch or remove the high voltage wires while the engine is running or when the starter is turning its shaft.

The wires of the injection and ignition systems, as well as measuring instruments, must be connected and disconnected only with the ignition off.

If it is necessary to turn the crankshaft of the engine with a starter, while preventing fuel injection, for example, when measuring compression, the fuel pump turnip must be removed and the ignition coil connector disconnected.

Instructions for checking the injection system

Excessive pressure in the fuel supply system drops by itself (without loosening fuel line connections) only a few hours after stopping the engine.

Before repair and adjustment work, as well as when troubleshooting, you should interrogate the memory device and check the vacuum connections for tightness and the absence of air leakage.

Terminal clamps must be replaced with clamps tightened with a screw.

For flawless operation of electronic components, the supply voltage must be at least 11.5 volts.

If, after troubleshooting, repairing and checking the performance of the components, the engine starts and then stalls, then the reason may be that the engine is blocked by the anti-theft system. In this case, you should interrogate the storage device and, if necessary, agree (tune) engine control unit (at the service station).
