Relieve the fuel pressure. To do this, at the service station, a special tool (FORD 23-033) is placed against the valve on the fuel manifold (remove the valve cover). After this, carefully open the valve, and the fuel pressure is released. Finally, the special tool is removed and the valve is closed with a cover.

If a special tool is not available, carefully disconnect the fuel line. First, cover the connection point with a thick clean cloth.

Safety note: The fuel system is under pressure! Before loosening the fuel line connections, place a thick, clean cloth around the connection. Then release the fuel pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
