Checking the fuel tank vent valve

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature and leave it to idle.

2. Remove the vacuum hose coming from the activated charcoal tank from the solenoid valve.

3. Check for vacuum at the valve flange. Otherwise, check the operation of the solenoid valve.

4. To do this, disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery and the connector from the solenoid valve.

5. Disconnect the hoses from the solenoid valve and remove the valve. For correct subsequent installation, pre-mark the hoses.

6. If the valve is purged with air, then it is defective.
