Replacing the fuel filter on vehicles with diesel engines

            0

SEQUENCE OF WORK

1. Disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery.

2. Place a container under the fuel filter. Attach the extension hose to the fuel drain plug.

3. Unscrew the drain plug by hand and completely drain the fuel from the filter. If there is fuel left in the filter, remove the outlet hose from the top of the filter housing.

4. Place a rag under the fuel line connections, open the connections and wipe up any spilled diesel fuel.

5. Turn away a bolt and get the filter from fastening. Dispose of the old filter in a designated area.

6. Fill the new filter to the brim with diesel fuel and screw it on securely.

7. Connect fuel lines. Do not confuse the supply and return fuel lines - follow the markings.

8. Remove container.

9. Connect a wire to the negative plug of the storage battery and start up the engine. Check fuel filter and drain plug for leaks.
