Removal and installation of facing of a door (Scorpio I)

Withdrawal

Open the door and turn out 5 (at the back door 7) fastening screws -arrows- at the edges of the door trim.

Front door: remove both caps above the door trim pocket fixing screws. Remove the screws and remove the pocket.

Power window model: Use a small screwdriver to pry the power window switch out of the door trim and disconnect its connector.

Model without power window: Use a small screwdriver to pry off the power window crank cover and remove the screw underneath. Remove the power window crank.



Turned out, the screws securing the armrest (basic equipment), and on models with advanced equipment, additionally unscrew the screw -arrow- at the front door, which is visible through the opening for the power window switch (figure refers to model with extended equipment).


Front door: Remove the cover from the mirror cover and remove the screw underneath. When manually adjusting the mirror, remove the manual adjustment lever extension and remove the mirror cover.

Rear door: remove the ashtray and remove the screws securing the door release cover. Two screws are located under the ashtray and one screw is in the recess for the door release handle.

Loosen the screw securing the cover of the door release mechanism and remove the cover.

Remove the door trim at the top from the two clips, then pull the trim out of the lower U-shaped holder.

If present, disconnect the loudspeaker connector.

Installation

If available, connect the speaker plug.

Insert the lining at the bottom into the U-shaped holder, and, if present, pull the wire for the power window through the hole in the lining. Press the cover at the top until it snaps into place in the clips.

Front door, attach and screw the cover of the door release mechanism.

Rear door: Attach and screw the cover of the door release mechanism. Insert ashtray.

Attach and screw the armrest.

Front door: Attach and screw down door trim pocket.

Model without power window: fit and screw the power window crank. Press in place the cap covering the fastening screw.

Model with power window: connect the power window switch connector and fix the switch in the hole in the door trim.

Front door: Attach and screw down the mirror cover. When manually adjusting the mirror, install the manual adjustment lever extension. Replace the cap covering the mount.

Wrap 5 (at the back door 7) fastening screws on the edges of the door trim.
