Replacement of brake hoses

            0

Four brake hoses are used on a car: two (rear) for connecting pipelines to the working cylinders of the rear brake mechanisms and two (front) for connecting pipelines to the working cylinders of the front brake mechanisms.

You will need: key «at 17» …

…special wrenches for brake lines «at 11», «at 14», pliers.

USEFUL ADVICE: Always use special wrenches to unscrew the tube nuts, as the nuts are heavily tightened and usually corroded, as a result of which, when using ordinary wrenches, the edges of the nuts are crushed.

NOTE: Operation is shown using the front hose as an example. Rear hoses of a similar design are replaced by the same methods.

1. For ease of operation, remove the front wheel from the side of the hose being replaced.

2. Remove the hose holder from the shock strut bracket.

3. Loosen the tube fixing nut, keeping the top end of the hose from turning…

4.... and disconnect the tube.

USEFUL ADVICE: To prevent the complete leakage of fluid from the hydraulic actuator, immediately plug the tube opening in any way possible. Protective valve caps for venting valves are very well suited for this purpose.

5. Remove the locking bracket from the top hose end..

6.... and remove the hose tip from the bracket hole on the body.

7. Unscrew the lower tip of the hose from the caliper..

8.... and remove the hose.

9. Install the new hose in the reverse order of removal.

WARNING: Be careful not to twist the hose when installing along the axis.

10. Similarly replace other hoses.

11. After replacing the hoses, bleed the air from the brake system (cm. «Bleeding the hydraulic drive of the brake system»).
