NOTE: The work is shown using the example of the tube connecting the brake master cylinder to the hose attached to the left front wheel brake slave cylinder.
1. Remove the battery mounting shelf (see "Removing and installing the battery mounting shelf").
2. Loosen the nut securing the tube to the master brake cylinder and disconnect the tube.
3. Loosen the nut securing the tube to the brake hose, holding the upper end of the hose from turning with a second wrench, and disconnect the tube.
4. Remove the tube from the retainer on the engine compartment splash guard…
5. …from the left…
6. ...and the right holders on the front shield and remove it from the car.
7. Install the new tube in the reverse order of removal.
8. After replacing the tube, bleed the air from the brake system (see "Bleeding the hydraulic brake system").
