Replacing the working cylinder of the brake mechanisms of the rear wheels

            0

If during operation there are leaks of brake fluid on the brake drum and the inner side of the wheel, or if the pistons in the cylinder are jammed, replace the working cylinder.

You will need: keys «on 10», «at 14», lockable welding clamp, wheel nut wrench.

1. Engage first gear and chock the front wheels.

2. Remove the appropriate rear wheel.

3. Clear the place of fastening of a brake hose and bolts of fastening of the working cylinder from a back side of a brake board from dirt.

4. Remove the brake drum (cm. «Removal and installation of a brake drum»).

5. Remove the brake pads (cm. «Replacing the brake pads of the brake mechanism of the rear wheel»).

USEFUL ADVICE: With a known skill, the brake pads can not be removed. Raise the parking brake lever - the upper ends of the shoes will move away from the piston stops.

6. Clamp the brake hose with a welding clamp to prevent leakage of brake fluid from the hydraulic system when removing the slave cylinder.

7. Loosen the brake hose tip.

8. Turn out bolts of fastening of the working cylinder, holding the cylinder on the other hand..

9.... and push the cylinder into the hole in the brake shield.

10. While holding the hose tip with your hand, unscrew the slave cylinder from the tip.

11. Establish the working cylinder in an order, the return to removal.

WARNING: Tighten the end of the brake hose to the maximum possible torque until the slave cylinder is bolted to the brake shield. When installing the slave cylinder, make sure that the hose is not twisted.

12. Install brake pads if removed (cm. «Replacing the brake pads of the brake mechanism of the rear wheel»).

13. Install the brake drum (cm. «Removal and installation of a brake drum»).

14. Remove air from the brake system (cm. «Bleeding the hydraulic drive of the brake system»).

15. Several times sharply press the brake pedal to bring the brake shoes to the drum.
