Replacing the rear brake cylinder

Remove the brake drum. To do this, remove the drum together with the hub, moving it away from the brake shield. Loosen and remove the center hub nut.

Disconnect the flexible brake hose.

Disconnect the hard brake line from the cylinder.

Move the pads towards each other so that the adjustment latch lever moves away from the cylinder.

Unscrew the cylinder bolts from the brake shield (pic. 6.9).



Take out the cylinder.

Replace the cylinder with a new one. Install the cylinder in reverse order.

Install the hub with the brake drum and fasten it to the axle neck.

The clearance in the hub bearings is set automatically.

Bleed the brake system.
