Description of the brake system (Fiesta 2)

Ford Fiestas are optionally equipped with ABC systems. In this case, each of the front wheels drives an adjustment unit. Each unit adjusts one circuit, covering one front wheel and the rear wheel diagonally to it.

The adjustment units are located on both sides of the gearbox and are driven by toothed belts from belt pulleys located on the axle shafts.

Ford Fiesta cars are equipped with a dual-circuit brake system as standard. The brake system has a vacuum booster that increases the pressure exerted on the brake pedal.

The braking system of Ford Fiesta cars has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
