Lever gear shift mechanism — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Remove the shift lever cover.

1. Remove the shift lever handle.

2. Release the cover.

• Disconnect the connectors (quantity and configuration depends on the specific equipment).

2. Remove the center console.

• Remove the rubber element and remove the bolts.

3. Remove the gearshift mechanism.

• 1. Disconnect shift and select cables from shift lever.
• 2. Remove the shift and select cables by turning the support rings clockwise.
• 3. Turn out nuts.

Installation

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.

• 1. Secure the shift and select cables by turning the support rings clockwise.
• 2. Install shift and select levers.
• 3. Tighten the nuts.

3. Adjust the shift mechanism. See Section 308-00 for more information.
