Removal and installation of the scenes of the gear lever

To remove the backstage manual transmission perform the following operations.

1. Remove the lining of the floor tunnel (see Removing and installing floor tunnel lining).



2. Press the shift cable latch button..



3.... and disconnect the cable from the gearbox control lever.



4. Similarly, disconnect the gear selection cable from the leash.




5. Turn the selector cable sheath retainer counterclockwise..



6.... and remove the shell stop from the bracket of the link of the gear lever.



7. Similarly disconnect from an arm on a stage an emphasis of a cover of a cable of a gear change.

NOTE: The shift cable sheath retainer is white and the selector cable sheath retainer is black. Remember their location so as not to confuse them when reinstalling.





8. Using a thin chisel and a hammer, unscrew the four bolts securing the backstage to the base of the body and remove the backstage (the two front bolts are not visible in the photo).

NOTE: The shift lever yoke is secured to the body base with self-tapping bolts that come off when the bolts are torqued. This is done in order to exclude the possibility of unauthorized neutralization of the standardly installed gearbox control lever lock.


9. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal. Replace the backstage mounting bolts with new ones and tighten them until the heads come off.

To remove the backstage automatic transmission do the following.

1. Disconnect a wire from the minus plug of the storage battery.



2. Remove the lining of the floor tunnel (see Removing and installing floor tunnel lining).


3. Disconnect the tip of the cable from the gear selector lever.

4. Remove the tip of the cable braid from the holder on the selector housing.



5. Disconnect the tire block from the connector on the instrument panel console..



6.... remove the tire from the holder on the selector housing and take it to the side.



7. Squeeze the latch..




8.... and disconnect the wiring harness block from the selector.



9. Turn away four nuts of fastening …



10.... and remove the gear selector.

11. Establish all removed details in sequence, return to removal.
