Checking the level of working fluid in the automatic transmission (Mondeo 4)

The automatic transmission fluid level indicator (dipstick) is located near the engine compartment shield under the brake system reservoir. The lower part of the fluid level indicator tube is attached to the transmission by a flange, and the upper part of the tube is attached to the cylinder block by a bracket.

The level of the working fluid in the automatic transmission must be checked on a warm engine, preferably after a trip. In this case, the temperature of the working fluid will reach the value required for checking (55°C).



1. Remove the automatic transmission fluid level indicator (dipstick).



2. The level must be within the boundaries indicated by the arrows.

3. If the level is lower, contact a car service center to restore the level of working fluid in the automatic transmission.
