Fuel tank filler pipe — removal and installation

Withdrawal


1.
WARNING: Do not smoke or allow lit cigarettes or any open flame to be present when working on or near any fuel-containing elements. In such situations, there are always highly flammable mixtures that can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.


Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.

2. Loosen the nuts on the right rear wheel.

3. Remove the fuel filler cap.

4. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

5. Remove the right rear wheel.

6. Remove the right rear wheel wing mudguard.

CAUTION: When removing the fuel tank vent and fill lines, do not use sharp-edged tools to pry the lines. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the pipelines.


NOTE: To ensure that the retaining straps are in the correct position when installing, mark their position before removing them.


Disconnect the fuel tank vent and filler pipes.



8. Remove the filler pipe bolts.




9. Release bolts of a back cross member.
  • Partially lower the cross member.



10. Remove the filler fuel line.



Installation

NOTE: The fill and vent line retaining clamps must be reinstalled in the same position from which they were removed.


Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
