Accelerator cable (1.8L / 2.0L / 1.6L Zetec-E) — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the accelerator cable.

• 1. Remove the accelerator cable fastening clip.
• 2. Disconnect the accelerator cable.

2. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the bracket.

• 1. Turn the cable to release it.
• 2. Disconnect the accelerator cable.

3. Remove the footwell trim panel.



4. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the pedal.



5. To facilitate installation, tie a wire to the accelerator cable that can be pulled on the cable.



6. Remove the accelerator cable.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Before installing the throttle cable into the grommet, the rubber grommet must be inserted into the baffle.

Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
