Disconnect the battery from the electrical network.
Raise the car.
Clamp the tube that supplies fuel to the pump. To do this, use the appropriate clamp (Fig. 2.135).
Remove the vibration damper from the pump's high-pressure pipe (Fig. 2.136).
Note: There is high pressure in the system which must be reduced before performing the next operation.
Disconnect the pipes from the fuel pump.
Remove the plug from the electrical wires connected to the pump drive.
Unscrew and remove the fuel pump. The pump is installed in the reverse order.
