Removal and installation of the fuel pump

The fuel pump is shown in fig. 2.134.



Disconnect the battery from the mains.

Raise the vehicle.

Clamp the tube that feeds the fuel pump. To do this, use the appropriate clamp (pic. 2.135).



Remove the vibration damper from the high pressure pipe of the pump (pic. 2.136).

Note: The system is pressurized and must be relieved before the next operation.

Disconnect the pipes from the fuel pump.

Unplug the electrical wires connected to the pump drive.

Unscrew and take out the fuel pump. The pump is installed in reverse order.
