Raise the car.
Remove the lambda probe wire from the connection and disconnect the plug (Fig. 2.140).
Remove the thermal jacket and unscrew the probe.
Note: Do not touch the measuring parts of the probe.
The lambda probe is installed in the following order:
Clean the probe threads and the threads in the hole made in the exhaust pipe.
Coat the probe threads with a dry lubricant, such as graphite.
Carefully screw in the probe with a new gasket and tighten to the recommended torque.
Install the thermal jacket on the probe.
Connect the electrical wires of the probe. Pay attention to the correct connection of the clamps.
Lay down the bundle of wires.
Connect the battery to the vehicle's electrical system.
Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
Check the tightness of the probe installation.
