Exhaust gas exhaust system

            0

The purpose of the exhaust system is to direct exhaust gases from the engine to the rear of the vehicle and reduce combustion noise to a level permitted by the relevant regulations. The catalyst reduces the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases of the car. Systems with a catalytic converter have an lambda probe that interacts with the engine's electronic control unit to optimize the combustion process.

In the exhaust system, there is an increased pressure, the value of which is important for the operation of the engine. Worn parts of the exhaust system must be replaced with genuine parts.

The exhaust system must be sealed. The tightness of the system can be checked by placing a rag in the exhaust pipe opening while the engine is idling. Increasing the pressure allows you to find leaks in the system. The connections of the tubular elements of the system are sealed with a means "Fire - Gum".

Corroded fasteners of elements, as well as the elements themselves, should be replaced.

During installation of the exhaust system, care must be taken to ensure that parts of the system do not come into contact with other elements of the chassis. Also make sure that the heat generated by the muffler and exhaust pipes does not cause overheating or damage to parts of the vehicle's chassis. The elastic rubber mounts of the exhaust system must be replaced during installation work and when replacing parts in the exhaust system.
