Removal
1. Remove the fuel tank. For more information, refer to the Fuel Tank chapter in this section.
2. Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines from the module.
3. Using a special tool, remove the retaining ring.

CAUTION: When removing the fuel pump module, make sure the float and lever are not damaged.
Remove the fuel pump module.
- 1. Turn the module counterclockwise.
- 2. Lift and remove the module from the fuel tank.
5. Remove the retaining ring seal and discard it.
Installation
1.
NOTE: Make sure the arrows on the fuel tank and fuel pump module are properly aligned.
NOTE: Install a new snap ring seal and ensure it is properly seated on the fuel tank.
Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
