Drain
WARNING: Do not smoke or carry a lighted cigarette or open flame of any kind when working on or near fuel-related components. Highly flammable mixtures are always present in such situations and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
WARNING: The fuel system remains under pressure for an extended period of time after the ignition is turned off. Relieve the fuel pressure before attempting any repairs. Failure to follow these instructions could result in personal injury.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the filler cap.

NOTE: To allow the hose to fit into the fuel tank, it is necessary to cut off a 40mm long cone at the end of the hose.
Drain the fuel from the fuel tank using a 12.5 mm (0.5 in) nylon drain hose and a Ford approved fuel recovery tank.
