Disconnection
WARNING: Do not smoke or carry a lighted cigarette or open flame of any type when working on or near fuel-related items. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
WARNING: This procedure involves handling fuel. Always be prepared for possible fuel splashing and follow proper fuel handling precautions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
CAUTION: Fuel injection system equipment is manufactured to very precise tolerances and with minimal clearances. Therefore, it is especially important to maintain absolute cleanliness when working with these components. Open holes or lines should always be plugged using suitable plugs.
NOTE: Fuel supply line connectors are colored white or identified by a white border. Fuel return line connectors are colored red or identified by a red border.
1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. For more information, refer to the Relieving Fuel System Pressure section in this section.
2. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.
- 1. Press the locking elements of the fuel line quick-release coupling.
- 2. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.
3. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.
- 1. Pull the locking element of the fuel line quick-release coupling.
- 2. Press the fuel line quick release clamp to release the fuel line.
4. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.
- 1. Press the locking elements of the fuel line quick-release coupling.
- 2. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.
5. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.
- Press the fuel line quick release buttons and pull the fuel line to disconnect it.
6. Release the fuel tank vent line quick release coupling.
- Press the locking tab on the fuel tank vent line quick release coupling.
7. Disconnect the quick release coupling of the fuel tank vent line
8. Release the quick release coupling of the ventilation line.
- Press the locking tab on the fuel line quick release coupling.
9. Disconnect the fuel line quick release coupling.

CAUTION: After installation, pull on the fuel line to ensure it is properly installed.
Install the fuel line quick release coupling.

CAUTION: After installation, pull on the vent line to ensure it is properly installed.
Install the fuel tank vent line quick release coupling.

CAUTION: When installing the fuel line, make sure it snaps into place. Pull on the fuel line to make sure it is properly connected.
Install the fuel line quick release coupling.

NOTE: Make sure the tab on the fuel line is fully seated in the fuel line quick release coupling.
Install the fuel line quick release coupling.

NOTE: Before securing the locking element, make sure that the tab on the fuel line is fully engaged in the fuel line quick release coupling.
Install the fuel line quick release coupling.
- 1. Install the fuel line quick release coupling locking element.
- 2. Turn the fuel line quick release coupling locking element to the required position.

NOTE: Before securing the locking element, make sure that the tab on the fuel line is fully engaged in the fuel line quick release coupling.
Install the fuel line quick release coupling.
- 1. Install the fuel line quick release coupling.
- 2. Set the fuel line quick coupling locking element to the required position.
