Fuel supply manifold (1.6L Duratec)

Withdrawal

1. Relieve fuel pressure. Refer to Section 310-00 for more information.

2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation hoses (PCV) from the intake manifold and position them to the side.



3. Disconnect the fuel supply wiring harness from the fuel manifold.



4. Disconnect the fuel injector connectors.

NOTE: Fuel line connectors are painted white or identified by a white rim. Fuel return line connectors are colored red or identified by a red rim.

Disconnect the fuel supply and return lines from the fuel rail. Refer to Section 310-00 for more information.



6. Disconnect the fuel manifold.



7. Remove the fuel manifold. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.



8. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.

• 1. Remove the clip.
• 2. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.
• Discard O-rings as they are no longer needed.

9. Remove the fuel injectors from the fuel manifold.

• 1. Remove the clip.
• 2. Remove the fuel injector.
• Discard O-rings as they are no longer needed.

Installation

NOTE: Install a new fuel injector O-ring.

NOTE: Install a new fuel pressure regulator O-ring.

Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
