Fuel filter — removal and installation

Removal

1.

WARNING: Do not smoke or allow lighted cigarettes or any open flame when working with or near any fuel containing components. Highly flammable vapors are always present in such situations and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

Relieve fuel system pressure. Refer to Section 310-00 for additional information.

2. Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.

4. Disconnect the fuel vapor line.



5. Remove the fuel filter outlet pipe. Refer to Section 310-00 for additional information.



6. Disconnect the fuel filter inlet line. Refer to Section 310-00 for additional information.




7. Remove the fuel filter and bracket.



8. Remove the fuel filter.

• 1. Remove the bolt.
• 2. Pull out the fuel filter.

Installation

1.

NOTE: Please pay attention to the direction of the arrow.

Install the elements back in place in reverse order.
