Fuel filter — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1.

WARNING: Do not smoke or allow lit cigarettes or any open flame to be present when working on or near any fuel-containing elements. In such situations, highly flammable vapors are always present that can ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

Relieve pressure in the fuel supply system. See Section 310-00 for more information.

2. Disconnect the wire "masses" from the battery.

3. Raise and support the vehicle. See Section 100-02 for more information.

4. Disconnect the fuel vapor line.



5. Remove the fuel filter outlet pipe. See Section 310-00 for more information.



6. Disconnect the fuel filter inlet pipe. See Section 310-00 for more information.




7. Remove the fuel filter and bracket.



8. Remove the fuel filter.

• 1. Turn out a bolt.
• 2. Pull out the fuel filter.

Installation

NOTE: Pay attention to the direction of the arrow.

Reinstall the elements in reverse order.
