Fuel pump
The electric fuel pump, roller type (Fig. 2.98) has a shut-off and bypass valve, located under the bottom of the body behind the fuel tank (the nearby vehicle lifting point should not be used).

In all engine operating modes, the fuel pump provides the required pressure in the fuel line. Safety unit 4 (Fig. 2.99) disconnects the pump power supply if the engine stops, even if the ignition is on.

Fuel filter
The fuel filter is fixed to the air filter housing, under the distributor and consists of two sections. The fuel supply and outlet pipes have different diameters, which ensures the correct connection of the hoses. To access the fuel filter, you need to lift the distributor. The filter is replaced every 40,000 km.
