A 12V (DC) battery is installed with high current when cranking a cold engine.

The battery shelf is a single piece of plastic that is secured with three bolts.

The battery wiring consists of a high-performance ground wire and a power wire with soldered blind pole pins. The wires are secured with clamps to the battery pins, which are of different sizes to prevent incorrect connections. A separate starter solenoid wire is connected near the battery and is bolted to the starter solenoid. The ground wire and power wire are bolted to the engine, starter, and generator.
