Battery — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Remove the battery cover.

• 1. Release the cover.
• 2. Remove the battery cover.

2. Disconnect the battery ground wire. For more information, refer to the Disconnecting the battery chapter in this section.

3. Disconnect the battery power wires.

• 1. Disconnect auxiliary power wires.
• 2. Disconnect the battery power cable.

4. Remove the battery clamp.



5. Remove the battery.

Installation

NOTE: When disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery during a «study» the vehicle of its adaptive driving strategy may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics. The car may need to cover 16 km (10 miles) or more to repeat «study» this strategy.

To install, follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
