Removing the speaker (Focus Turnier 1)

            0

Depending on trim and model variant, your Focus has two full-range speakers in the front door trims. Two more full-range speakers are installed in the rear doors (or in the side trim on two-door models).

Front speakers

Turn off the radio.

To remove the speaker from the door, first remove the door trim.

Use a screwdriver to unscrew the speaker mounting screws. Remove the speaker from the hole.

Carefully disconnect both speaker wires (grasp the connectors, not the wires). The original wire sets have molded connectors. To avoid confusion in your bi-wired line, mark the connections beforehand.

Installation in reverse order.

Rear speakers

Remove the B-pillar trim.

Loosen the fastening of the side trim at the rear. Remove the clamps (arrows).

Before you turn your Focus into a concert hall on wheels, pay attention to the dimensions of the serial mounting holes. Limit yourself to speakers that fit them, otherwise the electromagnetic effect of larger boxes can negatively affect the locking effect of the seat belts. The result: the belts lock and no longer work perfectly.
