Dismantling the radio receiver (Focus Turnier 1)

In the following description we take into account only the Ford radio program. When installing an additional radio receiver later, you should purchase a mounting kit suitable for your Focus - this will eliminate problems with fastening and installation. Based on experience, the mounting kit comes with detailed installation instructions.

Stages of work

If you have a radio with an anti-theft code, write down the code number (Keycode) before dismantling.

Turn off the ignition, disconnect the battery.

Unlock the radio/cassette player using only U-shaped wire corners. To do this, push one corner 1 into the holes provided on each side and press evenly outwards (see arrow). This will relieve the fastening clamps.

Carefully and evenly (without skewing) pull the radio receiver out of the mounting hole 2 using the wire corners. This will avoid damaging the receiver mounts.



Disconnect the antenna wire, power connection, speaker plug connection and ground connection (see arrows), mark for installation if necessary.



Assemble the structural elements in reverse order.
