Removing the radio

            0

In the following description, attention is drawn to Ford standard equipment only. For additional installation of other radio units, you should have a kit that is coordinated with your Mondeo - the problems associated with their fastening and installation are thereby excluded. Detailed installation instructions are included with the kit.

PROCEDURE
  1. If there is a radio system with an anti-theft device, write down its coding number before dismantling (key code).
  2. Switch off the ignition and disconnect the battery.
  3. Unlock the radio cassette only with special U-shaped wire corners. To do this, insert one corner into the corresponding holes on each side. Press the corners out evenly (this allows you to unlock the locking tabs) and pull the device out of the mounting niche at the corners. This avoids damage to the instrument mount.

Insert the corners into the holes, press outward and then pull the device out of the mounting niche.
  4. Mark the terminals on the back of the instrument and then remove the antenna wire, live wire, speaker plug connection and earth connection from their respective sockets.
  5. Carry out the assembly work in reverse order.

Mark the leads and pull them out of their respective sockets.
