ORDER OF EXECUTION |
- After disconnecting the battery, it is necessary to adjust each window lifter.
- Press the window switch, the glass should move all the way up.
- After the glass is closed, hold the switch for at least another second.
- Only then release the switch and then press it again 2-3 times, each time for one second.
- If the engine has accepted your commands, the window will now open and close automatically when you press the button. If this does not happen, repeat the process as described above.
- Now lower the glass all the way down and hold the switch down for another second.
- Repeat this process on all side windows.

PRACTICAL ADVICE |
Electric window strike Switch defect: Remove the opposite switch and reposition the multi-pin connector. The window can now be closed using the working switch.
Break in the wiring to the electric motor: Place the "outer wire" with positive (if no voltage is applied) or with ground (if no ground is applied) to the engine. Then start the engine.
Engine blocking: Remove the door trim, detach the glass from the window lifter and manually move the glass upwards. Secure it in this position with adhesive tape or by inserting a suitable wooden wedge.
All the tricks given here are, of course, only forced measures for quick help on the road. At home, such things must be done thoroughly. |

Centrally controlled locking system
The central locking system simultaneously opens and closes all the doors of your Mondeo. Each door lock has small setting motors. The signals from these start their journey from both front doors respectively – from the outside this happens when the key is inserted and from the inside when the window control handle is activated. The boot can be opened using a push button from the inside or with the ignition key. The engine bonnet can in principle only be unlocked from the outside with the ignition key. The doors of the Mondeo with remote unlocking respond to the press of a button. The transmitter is located directly in the ignition key, and the receiver is in the interior lighting housing.
